Open as usual this week
The library is open as usual this week including Saturday 25 Jan even though it's a quieter week with exams over and the new semester not quite begun. So if you're doing a final year project or group work the student group study rooms, pc room and silent study area are all available :
- Mon- Thurs: 9.00-21.30
- Fridays: 9.00-17.15
- Saturdays: 9.00-16.30

Student Group Study Rooms Makeover
The library student group study rooms (A206 and A207) have been refurbished in the past few weeks to make the study areas as useful as possible for the new semester. Three new whiteboards have been installed across both study rooms (two in A206). A new data-screen for use with laptops is now ready to use in A206 as per the one in A207.
To book either of these rooms talk to us at the Kevin St Library Information Desk or email or tweet us. The max time is two hours per booking (from 9am) and a minimum of 2 students per room. Enjoy...

InTechOpen: free science and technology ebooks and more
InTech is one of the world's largest multidisciplinary open access
publisher of books covering the fields of Science, Technology and
Medicine. Since 2004, InTech has published 2342 books and 6 journals
with the aim of providing free online access to high-quality research
and also helping leading academics to make their work visible and accessible
to diverse new audiences around the world. Well worth a look and easy to use, browse and download. A number of these titles have been added to the DIT Library Catalogue too - no password required. See also @InTechWeb

Housecroft: Inorganic Chemistry
There have been a lot of queries this morning re.the availability of Housecroft's Inorganic Chemistry (4th ed) 2012.There is a Short Loan copy, but while the lending copies are out the textbook is available as an eBook. Happy new year everyone. Usual semester opening hours resume today so the library is open until 9.30pm tonight and is open this Saturday 4th January from 9am-4.30pm.
